KLMCC At A Glance

KLMCC or better known as Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia Kuala Lumpur (DPMM Kuala Lumpur). The Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce was officially launched on 30th April 1975. The title KLMCC is the English version of the Malay title Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia Kuala Lumpur (DPMM Kuala Lumpur). It is registered as a branch of the main body known as Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia (DPMM) which was formed in April 1957.

DPMM was originally known as Gabungan Dewan-Dewan Pernigaan Melayu Se-Malaya (GDPMM). Since its formation the KLMCC has taken upon itself a duty to promote the development of Malay in business, under the motto "Mengiringi Melayu ke Mercu Kejayaan" which literally means to assist Malays to the zenith of success.

  1. To encourage active participation from Malay entrepreneurs and professionals in Wilayah Persekutuan as members and / or providing support in creating a strong and solid association.
  2. To identify, act and mobilize on all the necessary resources in creating a force that can make possible an action that is complete, encompassing and long lasting.
  3. Establishing and setting up action committees and machineries to help increase the productivity and quality of the Bumiputras in business transactions.
  4. Planning strategies and carrying out effective programs that will increase and strengthen the accomplishments of its members and the Malay community in general.
  5. To create a climate that will be able to promote the development of a dynamic, reputable and responsible breed of Bumiputra entrepreneurs of international standards.
  6. To embark, formulate and perform whatever tasks, activities and actions that are appropriate in achieving the objectives of KLMCC and MCCM.
